Introducing The Countdown: Your Insider Guide to the Hofstra Pride

Dear Readers,

The Hofstra Clocktower is dedicated to bringing you accountability-driven, investigative pieces about powerful people and institutions impacting Hofstra University. 

Despite Hofstra boasting many campus news outlets, we also recognize many stories go unreported. Voices are lost, important events are unnoticed and the campus community is none the wiser.

That’s why we’re launching The Countdown, a newsletter by The Hofstra Clocktower dedicated to summing up what students need to know. From policy changes, Student Government happenings, campus conflicts and administrative changes – you’ll find it here at The Countdown. It’s an educated student’s guide to our place of education. 

This also marks the introduction of your newsletter editor: Alexa McNulty. We’re ecstatic to have Alexa join our editorial team. A New Jersey-born Hofstra sophomore majoring in Public Relations, McNulty’s bright, dynamic voice will be a more fresh, fun voice compared to our usual fare. When she’s not sitting in Clocktower meetings or writing articles, Alexa can be found with her sisters at Alpha Phi or walking the runway at New York Fashion week with Wilhelmina Models.
